Karate school response to Coronavirus

Updated: Mar 11, 2020

The health and safety of our students is always our top priority. We are continuously monitoring coronavirus news reports, health alerts and school district recommendations. We will remain vigilant to react quickly to additional changes from authorities.

Please note all of these efforts are in response to CDC recommendations and are generally considered good practice for avoiding germs at any time.

  1. Here are the steps we are taking:• The school is cleaned daily, and we are redoubling our efforts to clean frequently touched surfaces between classes • Instructors are reminding students & parents to wash their hands efficiently • Instructors will temporarily stop high fives and handshakes and limit close contact • Students who show symptoms of sickness are expected to stay home and will not be permitted on the training area • Additional video training resources will be available each week to keep students on track if they’re unable to attend class • Students are discouraged from sharing or borrowing training gloves or weapons. • Disposable wipe dispensers and hand sanitizing stations remain available for everyone to use to help keep our karate school clean • Instructors who are sick are required to stay home and see a doctor before returning
